What is Fractional CO2 laser?
The fractional CO₂ laser applies the laser energy in columns separated from each other, instead of treating the whole surface continuously. This is known as fractional photothermolysis.
The practice’s service portfolio covers two clearly different groups of applications: the cutaneous ones, on the skin of the face and body, and the female intimate ones.
They are separate fields, with different indications and criteria. The intimate applications also require a prior medical assessment. What is indicated in each case is always established in consultation.
How it works
The energy is applied in a fractional way.
Fractional application
The energy is emitted in separate columns, not continuously across the whole surface.
Depth and density
The depth and the density of the columns depend on the indication and on the area.
Two different fields
Cutaneous and intimate applications are considered separately, with their own criteria.

It is a laser that applies the energy in columns separated from each other, instead of treating the whole surface continuously. It is called fractional photothermolysis.
What is the difference between cutaneous and intimate applications?
They are different fields, with their own indications and criteria. The intimate applications are addressed within intimate health and require a prior medical assessment.
Is it the same as intense pulsed light?
No. The fractional CO₂ laser and intense pulsed light are different technologies and are not indicated for the same things. In consultation the doctor explains which one applies to your case.
Does it require a prior medical assessment?
Yes, it is essential. The indication, the area and the parameters are always determined in consultation, and the intimate applications also require a medical assessment.
How many sessions might I need?
It depends on each case. The number and the interval between sessions are established individually after the medical assessment.
What is recovery like?
