What is PRP?

PRP — platelet-rich plasma — starts from the patient’s own blood. It is drawn in the clinic, processed to obtain a platelet concentrate and reinjected into the area established by the medical indication.

The practice’s service portfolio includes it among the advanced injectable treatments and covers two fields: the facial one, which includes the neck and the décolletage, and the scalp.

The portfolio also allows other active ingredients to be added to the plasma. Whether that is appropriate in your case is a medical decision taken during the assessment.

How it works

From the patient, and back into the skin.

  1. Blood draw in the clinic

A blood sample is taken from the patient at the time of the treatment.

  2. Processing

The sample is processed to separate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma.

  3. Application

The plasma is reinjected into the skin or the scalp, in the area and with the schedule established by the medical indication.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions.

What is PRP?

It is a treatment that starts from the patient’s own blood: it is drawn in the clinic, processed to obtain a platelet concentrate and reinjected into the indicated area.

Where does the plasma come from?

From your own blood, drawn in the clinic at the time of the treatment. No material from any other source is used.

Which areas can it be applied to?

The service portfolio covers the face, the neck, the décolletage and the scalp. Which area is indicated in your case is decided in the medical assessment.

Can it be used on the scalp?

The portfolio includes a scalp option. Whether it is indicated in your case, and when it makes sense to consider it, is decided in the medical assessment.

How many sessions might I need?

It depends on each case. The number of sessions and how they are spread over time are established individually after the medical assessment.

Do I need a prior medical assessment?

Yes, it is essential. The indication, the area and the schedule are always determined in consultation with the doctor.

Can it be combined with other treatments?

The portfolio covers combinations, for example with Dermapen. They are always considered within an individual plan and only when the medical assessment supports it.
